Šuma Zeta

Šuma Zeta or ‘Forest Zeta’ is the Nature park and forest school in our beautiful forest on the banks of the Zeta River. Suma Zeta host Forest School classes in the spring and fall. We also host summer camps that teach archery, kayaking, arts & crafts, nature and ecology, Challenge Course and wilderness Skills!

This is our first winter season for Suma Zeta programs. We will be learning to weave from the wild! We will be working with grape, kiwi, dogwood, blackberry, and willow to weave beautiful art! We will also work with fiber and yarn to create original creations!

FOR NEW STUDENTS: Please Message me with…

5. Write a little about your story and why you think forest school is a good fit for your child.

Please have children wear play clothes, boots that can get dirty and a coat/rain coat and warm hat for inclement weather. Class will move indoor if it’s raining.

Please Park in the parking area for drop off/pick for first class.
After that, drop off or pick up can be a drive by, simply honk for pick up. No parking on our street please.


SAFETY
* All students must be able to swim and confident around water. Children will always be visible and reachable by teacher.
* Andrea will provide pruning shears, children will learn the right to use them
* Each Student will have access to indoor bathroom, access on a one-on-one basis to our guest cottage (and children’s library) if they need a break, or need some alone time. That being said, most of the class will take place outdoors and children should be ready for this.

Our property host an art studio, guest cottage, children’s library, garden, vineyard, outdoor classroom, fort, mud kitchen, forest & river. We are also home to dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and most recently our sheep named Maisy and her lamb Tallulah!

Hello I am Andrea, the Forest School Facilitator at Suma Zeta. Me and my four sons love playing in the woods and river. I love empowering kids to connect with nature in ways that build confidence, curiosity and cooperation!

Amenities

Our 1,500 Square meter forest area on the banks of the Zeta River. Equipped with a forest classroom, stairs and paths, picnic tables, slack lines, hammock hollow, a fire pit and river access for kayaking. All of this with enough room to hide, build forts and have tons of fun!
