  • We will continue our Food Bank and soup kitchen harvest on Saturday mornings 8:30-9:30

7 more Kilos (15lbs) for the soup kitchen! Hey guys! The Garden is just brimming with veggies and I’d love the kids to see how we harvest for the soup kitchen! Did you know that Bašta Zeta would like to expand? 10+ kilos (25 pounds) of produce for the soup kitchen this week! Look 👀 who we found on our parsley plant? A swallowtail caterpillar! 🐛 Grandfather onion bloomed! The boys found some scarlet pimpernel! Now I want to read that book! Happy first day of Summer from Bašta Zeta! Here is a garden walk through, it’s so fun to see how everything is growing! I would say in Montenegro when eating farm to table, there is about 40% more flavor. In America this number is 200% or more. If your kids hate veggies, try home gardening. The combination of the emotional investment, the miracle of life and added flavor might just win them over!

Vizija Bašte

Hello My name is Andrea. I worked as an 4-H Environmental Educator developing school gardening programs and curricula for public and private schools. I want to open a Youth Educational Garden along the Zeta River, near the capital city of Podgorica in Montenegro.

Zdravo, ja sam Andrea. Radila sam kao učitelica ekologije, razvijajući školske baštenske programe, nastavne planove i programe za javne i privatne škole. Želim da osnujem omladinsku edukativnu baštu pored reke Zete, u blizini glavnog grada Podgorice, u Crnoj Gori.

Bašta Zeta je projekat nevladine organizacije Operation Mobilization. Naš program je besplatan, ali prihvatamo donacije.
