Field Trips for Schools

Bast a Zeta loves having students visit our Garden!

We offer 1.5-2-hour Garden workshop field trips to any school in Montenegro. This Is usually scheduled for Thursdays
(March-May, September-November)

This includes a

  • Hands on science lesson on a chosen topic
  • Story time with creative art project (15-20 minutes)
  • Hands on garden activity (15-20 minutes)
  • time to pet farm animals (15-20 minutes)
  • Free time to play in our outdoor classroom.  (15-30 minutes)

Each class is a tailored to the age, number of children, with the preferred science theme, and what is growing in the garden. Some popular themes could be: Plant Life Cycle, Plant parts we eat, Beneficial bugs, Pollination, or Season & Harvesting. We can also make more engaged classes with volunteer work for Grades 7-12.

Cost is 2€ per person with a 30€ minimum.  We ask there is an adult with every 12 children. Classes are in English, with the option for Serbian/Montenegrin translation. We can accommodate groups up to 36 children, but usually split the groups into 3 rotating classes so every child gets a hands-on experience.

– Students are allowed to bring a lunch or a snack to eat here if that is preferred

*Students will have access to water and an indoor bathroom

* Public Montenegrin Schools receive a 50% discount on admission
* Please Notify Andrea if any child has a Bee allergy
* Smaller groups have the option of making food in a Farm to Table class with additional cost.
